A double entendre is the name of this visual experience. SMEAR’s ideas are exaggerated with satire to make its points more obvious. In our lives lived truth cannot be a objective thing unless it is beyond a reasonable doubt that it is true. With that idea in mind the words digitally etched inside of SMEAR will never be claimed as the truth. However, the ideas pressed in between each page are to promote thought and greater critical thinking in our cultures and environments.

While there are a lot of conspiracies theories in the United States. At the same time there are a bunch of shady practices and dealings that are glossed over or go unnoticed by the public eye. This includes how buying a car works and how products now a days are made to break. All of which revolve around money, which is no surprise because that is the foundation of capitalism. While many more topic could have been explore. I wanted to speak on topics that were more geared to what’s happening right now. For example things like racism and the news media.

Most importantly SMEAR is a product of the first amendment. Freedom of speech is critical in our lives because being surrounded by one view point is ignorance. Lack of knowledge which could lead to denial is a fatal flaw in conversations that are had to this day. For example we use more then 10% of our brain. I don’t know who told people that but how does that make sense. A person with 10% brain function is probably in a coma or dead let’s be real.

Sometimes being brutally honest is the best way to get a message out. But of course rage is often a side effect.
